This design is based on the 1950s-style swing coat, and I found an end-of-line upholstery fabric that complemented the timeframe. Recreating the ‘Garden Party’ look of the era through the use of a bold, oversized floral as the lining, this fabric selection was all about colour contrasts—finding the perfect button, pure joy! The fabrics are mixed Italian jacquards made from cotton/viscose, with the lining a plain poly partnered with a printed linen, finished off with a striped grosgrain ribbon, all sourced from odd stock supplies. Inside, it features a limited 5th edition portrait of a woman.
